Very nice looking gun...
Very nice looking gun but it's been a safe queen ever since the first shoot. The first round will go downrange but anything after that is a gamble. I have four 14-round magazines (2 Para and 2 Mec-Gar). I can't get through a 10-round string without a least one feeding issue. Usually there are 3 or 4 and most of the time it will go to slide lock with one round remaining. I have new 10% Wolff springs and not much changed. I tried 'tuning' the mags with little result. The mag that works the best is the one I broke the lip on while 'tuning' it. It's a good project gun for those that like to tinker but I would NEVER carry it for self defense. If you don't get the perp with the first round you better plan on clubbing him with the pistol. I doubt that they sell this pistol anymore but if they do, you're informed.

I was expecting a...
I was expecting a better product than I received, but that was simply due to a lack of research on my part. The reasons for this poor review have nothing to do with Bud's service; everything went smoothly, as it always does. At approximately 10 feet from the target, this firearm shot two inches to the left; I had two of my range mates fire the weapon as well, to make sure I wasn't simply guilty of poor marksmanship, and the groups they shot were about the same as mine. However, after some rather crude sight-adjustment, I could drive tacks with the weapon; there is a reason that "Match Grade" is stamped onto the barrel. The action, when moved by hand, was rough; this applied even after the 500rd. break-in period. The guide rod was noticeably chewed-up after just a few hundred rounds (this might be normal, but it certainly doesn't reflect quality craftsmanship), and the finish on the sides of the grip safety deteriorated very quickly, until bare metal was showing. The reliability was terrible; I experienced jamming every 1-4 rounds. I don't know if this is due to poor construction of the firearm, or a lack of quality-control with the magazines; but, even with the additional 4 magazines I purchased (the firearm comes with two magazines), I was having the same feed issues. After around 700rds. or so, I encountered another problem altogether: the hammer would sometimes fail to release when I pulled the trigger. I verified that the grip safety was as far in as it would go, and that the thumb safety was fully disengaged, but I still experienced the issue. I was hoping to have a firearm that I could depend on, but that was not the case; I now avoid Para-Ordnance altogether. I have since sold the firearm, even though I was completely honest with the buyer about the problems I encountered with this weapon.

All in all I love this...
All in all I love this gun. Shipping took a little over a week but that's expected for free shipping, still went smooth. Gun has excellent fit in my hands even after putting on some Hogue grips. Only 2 FTF inside 250 rounds but I'm still inside the break-in period. There's really nothing at all I don't like about it. I've ordered a full length guide rod and spring cap/plunger for better accuracy and to cut down on wear and tear from the spring. I wanted a 1911 style pistol with hi capacity and my month long reasearch lead me to this one. It got way more good reviews than not and these seem to be sought out after from competition shooters. Will be taking it out soon to put another 300 rounds through it. My only complaint is that the fiber optic came loose but didn't fall out, just loosend after 250 rounds. Talked to Para customer service, (which is excellent by the way), and they told me how to tighten it back up. If this happens to you, simply apply a small heat source to one end and re-mushroom the optic. Good as new. I would recommend this firearm to a friend. Thanks Buds, once again no one, I mean NO ONE beats your prices online and the free shipping. Will order my 3rd, 4th firearm and then some. I will always come here first.
