The Para Ordnance PXT Hawg 9 is a compact 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm. Its three-inch barrel and alloy receiver keep the pistol lightweight at 24 ounces, while the 12+1 capacity provides substantial firepower in a compact carry package. A beavertail grip safety, contoured polymer grips, spurred hammer, and single-action operation support secure handling and controlled shooting. This is my 3rd gun...
This is my 3rd gun purchase from Bud's. As expected the transaction went as smooth as the first two. Thank you Buds. This is a great little gun. Perfect size for someone looking for a carry option. There was a small problem with the slide locking open with one round still in the magazine. A 5min call to Para and a day later I received a new slide lock. After installed I ran 100 rounds of winchester white box through it without incident. Anyone interested in this handgun should know that racking the slide can be a little bit challenging in the beginning. It has a very strong recoil spring which gets easier to rack after about 100 rounds.

I has hopeful when...
I has hopeful when ordering this that it would fill the gap of safety that I wanted for my ccw. The weapon is well balanced with a slightly lower recoil than the Glock 26. Trigger pull slightly heavy but smooth. Would like to have seen the magazines sent with the optional finger extention to extend the grip. The barrel ramp seemed a little steep which will not allow a slow slide advance; the slide seemingly must recoil forward. It digested FMJ and HP ammo without issue. On the overall, a well built solid piece of equipment ready for use.
