A: I don't own one of these but one of the best 22lr rounds is cci stingers. They've worked in every 22 semi auto pistol I've owned, even the picky ones. Another great ones cci velocitor. Hope this helps.

A: Ok read that the Phoenix hp22 is recommended to be used with only standard velocity ammo. Apparently using high velocity ammo people had problems with the frame cracking. So definitely don't use cci stingers or velocitors. People were saying they had luck with Remington Golden bullet, cci standard velocity ammo, and federal bulk packs of ammo. But try to stay away from any hyper velocity ammo. Hope this helps.

A: Stan, I would try disassembling and lightly lubricating the interior of the magazine wall, make sure the follower spring connection is correct for proper feed angle, reassembling and trying again. If the same results then the issue may be the pistol in which I would contact Phoenix Arms for resolution at 909.937.6900. Cheers and stay safe!

A: Try CCI MINI Mag ammo it sound like the ammo you were using was either a lower power round or just had a bullet style that the gun does not like. Most 22lr pistols are very ammo specific and picky in what they will work with

A: This Weights 20 Oz's so it's pretty well balanced. It's got a pretty small grip so if you have large hands wouldn't really recommend it. For the price it's a good pistol. Hope this helps.

A: Alan, unfortunately this is not legal in Illinois. This pistol uses alloy in the frame and won't pass Illinois's melting point law Wich states any firearm that uses metal in the frame, slide or barrel that can melt under 800 degrees Fahrenheit is prohibited.
