The Ruger 22/45 Lite Mark III is a lightweight .22 LR pistol built around Ruger's proven internal cylindrical bolt design, which keeps the sights aligned with the barrel for consistent accuracy. Its 4.4-inch threaded barrel and blue-anodized aluminum upper help reduce weight, while the black Zytel polymer frame with rubber grip panels provides a comfortable, secure hold. The pistol features an adjustable rear sight, fixed-blade front sight, manual safety, loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, and an internal lock. Two 10-round magazines and a hard plastic case are included.

This is a great gun...
This is a great gun for target practice. It is easy to shoot and has a great feel in your hand. Also looks really cool with the blue color and cutouts in the barrel. I added a compensator and optical sight.

This was one of my favorite 22 pistols and I put a lot of custom parts in it but like all MK III pistols a bit of a pain to take apart, and it found a new home as soon as I got the MK IV 22/45 lite, the trigger was a tiny bit better on this one but I changed out the trigger in the MK IV with a new one from Tandemkross and it is a pleasure to shoot now and take down is just one button!

First for the PROS:...
First for the PROS: Nice look, lightweight, nice balance. Next for the Cons: Poor sights, problems with FTF and FTE, Rear Sight pivot pin will not stay in proper location, Magazines fit loose inside of handle, a tight two handed grip will cause contact with magazine release button and cause FTF, hard to reassemble after cleaning, heavy trigger, and magazines are difficult to remove. Corrected FTE by installing Volquartsen extractor. Corrected FTF by installing Ruger Mark 2 magazine followers and follower buttons. Also, radius magazine vee notch( See U-Tube video on this subject) Installed Majestic Arms trigger kit to correct heavy trigger and installed Majestic Arms Quick break-down kit to aid in cleaning. Replaced rear sight hinge pivot pin by cutting a 1/16 inch drill bit to proper length, and installing the drill bit shank in the rear sight. This pistol will have Majestic Arms sights and magazine butt plates installed at a later date to bring this pistol up to my standards for a proper range pistol. This is my first Ruger 22 caliber pistol, I do not believe these problems to be representative of other Ruger 22 caliber pistols I have enjoyed correcting these problems and now enjoy shooting this pistol at my clubs pistol range. After making these corrections the pistol does not cause me any problems unless I make contact with the magazine button while shooting, a problem caused mostly by my big hands.
