Even though Buds has...
Even though Buds has my name wrong here I'm going to leave my review on this great gun. I already have a larger size 9mm which I'm very happy with, except it's not easy to conceal unless it's cool enough to wear a jacket or a second shirt. So was looking for a compact, in the same caliber, that was easily concealable, even in the summer. When I saw the Ruger LC9s it immediately caught my eye. Being a long time Ruger fan I decided maybe I should take a closer look. So glad I did. I held a black one at a store and it felt perfect. A little small but not too small. Exactly what I was hoping it would be like. Definitely concealable. I would ordinarily never choose any color other than black. Certainly nothing reflective. However when I saw the Ruger LC9s in the Marsala colored grip frame, I made a rare exception. Ruger makes this gun in many color combinations but this color is soothing... and reminds me of a raspberry blueberry smoothie. Dark enough not to be reflective yet just different enough to make daily carry a little more enjoyable. Surprisingly the color just said "Yes". I was already sold on the LC9s so the color was the icing on the cake. So I read the reviews on the LC9s. Did lots of research. Several of the mixed or poor reviews were many years old when the gun first came out. The later reviews all seemed pretty positive. Besides you can't trust every negative review anyway. Too many factors to consider. So I took a chance and ordered it from Buds. Great decision.. It arrived fast and the transaction was virtually flawless. At one point I had to call about something and Frank was "extremely" helpful. So the real test. I pulled apart the gun and cleaned & lubricated it first, before shooting it, the evening I got it. Then I took it out in the backyard, before dark, and put about 50 rounds through it. A mix of both Remington and Winchester Hollow Points as well as some Sig FMJs. It shot flawlessly and accurately. No jams. Out of the box everything seemed real tight. That was a contributing factor in deciding to clean & lube it before shooting it for the first time. Typically a good idea anyway. Assuming the action and all the moving parts could use some lubrication and then a good break in. It's a solid gun. Very happy. I'd bet by this weekend I'll truly break it in and will rest assured of it's reliability. Going to give it a real work out, clean it, and then it's going to go every where with me, right on my side. Except maybe in the cooler months where I may take my full size 9. Who knows, maybe I'll take both. Yep, the delicious color reminds me of a raspberry blueberry smoothie! Why not? Getting to an age where I need to make sure I'm enjoying life. Thanks Buds!

I waited to review...
I waited to review this product until after I had the pleasure of firing it!! It was quickly shipped to my FFL dealer and is accurately described on the site, including the color!! After having a chance to fire this, my review is overall good! It is light weight, easy to carry conselaed or not. Shoots very smoothly with little kick back using 115gr. At first I did have some difficulties with the slide but after firing it a few times it worked well! I did however, have some difficulties with disassembling it for cleaning and had to take it in for additional assistance. We were able to get it disassembled, cleaned and put back together. We oiled it well and hope it will disassemble easier for round two! Over all I am satisfied with this product and seller!
