A near-perfect carry...
A near-perfect carry gun for 1911 fans. Fit and finish are excellent. Extended thumb safety is positive, not sloppy or too stiff. Extended mag release works well, but perhaps slightly stiff.Sights are on target, accuracy out to my tested 15 yards is excellent. Trigger is very good, crisp at about my guessed 4 lbs, though trigger on Rock Island version is better in my opinion. Experienced one failure to feed in the first 75 rounds, but after cleaning and lube, no problems with subsequent 300 rounds of factory FMJ 115 grain ammo. Have not yet tested hollow point ammo. Also works well with Wilson Combat 9-round mag. Right-side grip panelloosened slightly after 300 rounds, but can likely be fixed with Loc-Tite. Take down and reassembly are a breeze.

Ordering from Buds was no hassle and shipped to my FFL in a timely manner.\r \r The pistol-First thing I noticed was the frame color. It has a bluish tone to it. At first I was not happy with the color and thought it may have been a bad batch of anodizing. It appears the stock photos are black and white and do not clearly show the color. Find some color pics to see the blue. Now, having said that the color is growing on me. Only other gripe is the plastic main spring housing...looks cheap.\r \r Pistol was stripped, cleaned and oiled before break-in. 250 rounds of 115gr FMJ and no issues. \r \r Front sight needs to be drifted, it's not centered, not a major issue. \r \r This is my 5th Ruger and could not be happier.
