The SCCY CPX-1 is a compact 9mm double-action-only pistol designed for convenient carry and straightforward operation. Its receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, while the Zytel polymer grip frame features ergonomic finger grooves and an integrated recoil cushion on the backstrap. The 3.1-inch barrel is machined from bar stock with a 1:16 right-hand twist. A guarded frame-mounted manual safety, internal hammer, inertial firing pin, and fully encapsulated steel recoil spring system provide a practical safety and maintenance design. The pistol includes a 3-dot sight system with a windage-adjustable rear sight and two 10-round magazines with finger-extension bases, plus two flat magazine bases.

gun functions well, fits are good, light weight of the frame becomes an issue for older people that don't have great strength in there hands. I epoxy filled the front pockets in the frame below the barrel to balance out the gun. Works well now.

Let's get this out of the way first, Folks this is a budget friendly sidearm, this was not promoted up or advertised as anything else. Now, I bought this after long drawn out reviews from some of the top people in there field. The materials are all of U.S making. The company Headquarters from Daytona, Florida. I bought the SCCY CPX-1®. It's a double action 9mm (9x19 LUGER) some will find the safety troublesome as during fire the feature will engage. This is very bothersome during ones mugging, I find if your very polite to the perpetrator they will tend to work with you in fixing this so your defense continues and his existence doesn't. There are an assortment of colors to choose from, let's face it no-one wants there firearm to clash especially in the eyes of your attacker. This is a very usable cost effective weapon for self-defense.
