Gorgeous gun, open it up when you get it and the only thing "Sig" about it is that it takes P226 magazines, which was one of the selling points to me since my wife and I both have 226's on our bedside tables. Otherwise, it's a Springfield Armory XD inside, only better, updated and better looking as well as at a more reasonable price. The machining is smooth and precise. I have no clue why they put detents in the two magazines that came with the gun, to limit them to 15 rounds. What state only allows 15 round magazines ? But, I took it to the range with 18 round MecGar magazines for a Sig P226 and it runs flawlessly. The sights, big notch in the rear and green fiber optic in front give a beautiful sight picture so it was no problem putting either my match handloads or Winchester Defense hollow points in the scoring rings from 5 to 25 yards. The quality is so good, that even before taking this beauty to the range, I had another of the manufacturer's pistols in my order basket for a new carry gun. But, alas, not all is perfect. The first magazine ran dry and locked the slide back. I punched the magazine release button ... and ... nothing, the magazine sat trapped in the gun ... I tried another magazine, and same thing. They don't eject from the gun as a competition or defense weapon should. I had to pull each magazine from the gun when they were emptied. That, and the extreme muzzle flip from normal 9mm ammo prompted me to remove the other gun from my Bud's shopping cart. However, if you are not a serious competition shooter, or don't care if you have to hand extract empty magazines from your home defense gun, this little beauty is one heck of a deal. So, minor gripes aside, it's a solid four stars and highly recommended.
