First of all, the 9mm...
First of all, the 9mm Ultra compact looks different to the picture. 200 rounds review: 1. The gun has been malfunctioning since new, the slide cannot be locked by the slide stop. (I did not touch the slide stop while I was shooting, and the magazine was brand new that is good enough to push the slide stop up.) I think because the 9mm gun is using the same recoil spring to the.045 caliber version, also the Sig spring is a 18.5lb spring rather than the normal 16lb springs on other 1911, if using 115gr 9mm Luger ammo, the ammo cannot provide enough energy to push the gun slide to the very end until the stop lock the slide. 2. The second issue was the barrel length is unique, so that it was impossible to purchase a perfect hostler and other replacement parts. (No other options for the recoil spring) 3. When the gun was new, it almost stuck the ammo when reloading. Reload 5 times, it stuck 4 times, 80%. Pro: It is an accurate gun as it should be, because you are paying for the Sig price. Overall, this is not my first Sig gun, I love the products from this brand, however, I could not to recommend it to anyone. Just be aware of the problems I mentioned, and stay away from it.

I purchased this gun...
I purchased this gun as a secondary carry gun, especially in the winter when I can wear bulkier clothes for concealment. I also wanted to have the option of a larger caliber, since I currently carry a .380 Kimber. I generally own Sigs, Kimbers and Walthers and usually they are of the 1911 variety, to which I am partial. This is the fifth handgun that I have purchased in the last couple of years, so though I am not an expert, neither am I a novice. I say this because this is the first gun that I have purchased that had problems. I must admit that I did not clean and oil it before shooting. Nonetheless I didn't clean and oil the other handguns that I purchased when I first shot them. The Sig had an incredible number of failures to eject. I could not get through a magazine without having at least one ejection problem. In total, I probably had 10 FTEs out of 50 bullets. I tried several different 115 grain and 124 grain bullets (all commercial). I was worried. When I got home, I disassembled the gun and cleaned it and oiled it. I took the gun back to the shooting range and put about 60 rounds through it. Not one failure to eject. Go figure. I didn't think it would make the big of a difference. Before I can totally give it a clean bill of health, I would like to go again and see if it performs equally well (so that accounts for a deduction). As far as the gun itself, it is a wonderment to behold (which is why I tend to buy Sigs and Kimbers). A very pretty gun with a very nice feel. Because it is slightly on the heavy side it shoots well. There is a very controllable recoil. I am not a great shooter, but it was accurate enough to meet my requirements. I am a small framed person and it does not conceal as well as the .380, but I purchased an Alien Gear IWB holster and this does a pretty good job of concealment, as long as I have on a sweater or overshirt. It is a quality gun (other than the initial problems). I am pleased with the purchase and would make the same decision again.
