Product Overview
The Sig Sauer P229R Elite Dark is a DA/SA pistol chambered in .40 S&W, combining a compact alloy-frame design with a 3.9-inch barrel and a 10+1 capacity. Its black hard-anodized frame and Nitron slide are paired with custom aluminum grips, front strap checkering, an ergonomic beavertail, and front cocking serrations. SIGLITE adjustable combat night sights support target acquisition in reduced light, while the Short Reset Trigger provides a shorter reset for faster follow-up shots. An integrated accessory rail supports compatible lights and lasers. This factory configuration does not include a threaded barrel.

First of all, thanks Bud's for the quick shipout - I ordered on a Monday and received the gun on Thursday of the same week. Excellent service as expected from Bud's! This gun is incredible, especially at the price Bud's has it! Comes with many features that more expensive 229s and .40 cal's do not. Have only had a chance to put about 80 rounds through it but the weapon has performed flawlessly! Hadn't shot a hand gun in a while and this firearm made it easy to hone accuracy. Great gun, would buy again and only from Bud's!

First of all, thanks Bud's for the quick shipout - I ordered on a Monday and got the gun on Friday the same week! They also had the best price around - this gun usually runs in the $1,000 range. I couldn't be happier with the P229. It really tames the .40 recoil - no problems at all. I put 100 rounds through it first thing with absolutely no problems (with the gun - my shooting wasn't the greatest). The night sites are really slick and this gun did come with TWO mags. The fit and finish are superb as I as expecting with a Sig, and the whole gun is very comfortable to hold, and shoot. The trigger is smooth with just a little take up, and the decocker works flawlessly. The aluminum grips with front checkering are actually much more comfortable than I was expecting - I wouldn't give them up to save any money The only thing that is missing is for me to learn how to shoot it more accurately. I picked this version of the gun because it has the beaver tail and rails, which not everyone may like, but I got both these features plus the night sites and aluminum grips for the price of a standard P229. You can't beat that!
