buds has always been...
buds has always been great to deal with. As to the m&p, I find it harder to not switch over from Glock completely The more I use this platform. Glock has more aftermarket support. But it is needed in glocks case. I can run these complete stock, with no issues at all, vs the Glock trigger system which reminds me of a staple gun, without mods and a new connector. As a long time Glock owner, S&W knocked it out of the park with the 2.0 series.

I did a lot internet...
I did a lot internet 'research' before deciding to buy the M&P 9MM Compact optic-ready w/thumb safety. Long story short, it is and does everything that its reviewers listed as strong points. It easily shoots to point of aim, trigger pull is good and the 507k green dot makes it easy to shoot successive half-dollar size groups at 7-yard home defense room distances. It also accepts any of my other M&P 2.0 magazines, 15, 17 & 23* rounds. Yes, I have an S&W FPC* too. I wanted to have both a handgun and a long gun that would take the same ammo. That they also use the same magazine(s) is a bonus that sealed the deal for me. I've only put a couple boxes through the pistol, so far, but it shoots with satisfying reliability, no surprise FTF, FTE or 'stove pipe'. Yes, I'm very well satisfied with my 4" Compact CORE S&W and would have no problem recommending it to friends and family.
