Product Overview
The Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P 9 Shield EZ M2.0 is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol designed for easy operation and confident everyday carry. Its 3.8-inch ported barrel and slide lightening cuts help reduce muzzle movement, while the Performance Center flat-face aluminum trigger provides a crisp pull with a tactile and audible reset. A grip safety adds an extra layer of passive protection without a thumb-operated manual safety. HI-VIZ Litewave H3 tritium and litepipe sights provide a bright sight picture in changing light, and the Picatinny-style rail supports compatible accessories. The pistol includes two eight-round magazines and a Performance Center-branded cleaning kit.

This is my first...
This is my first performance center gun. I think my expectations were too high. It is a great gun and I love the performance center logo/stamp on it. My biggest complaint is the grip safety does not recess as far as the other 3 EZ9s that I have. Not a deal breaker at all but noticeable when shooting more than a couple of clips. My guess is this change was made because the biggest issue with newbies shooting EZs, that I have seen, is they fail to hold the grip tight enough to release the grip safety. The hi-vis sights are way better than the stock sights...but I was expecting red on the rear and a little bigger green front sight. (like the ones I put on two regular EZ9s) My assumption, not a performance center mistake, as we all know sights are a personal preference thing. The slide cut outs and comp are very cool looking but I couldn't tell the difference while shooting from my non performance center EZ9s. That said, I usually shoot a .40 sub compact, so maybe I am numb to the relatively tame nine and any reduced muzzle flip the comp provides. This gun functioned perfectly out of the box, looks very cool, is from the performance center, and being an EZ is very easy to operate. I am happy to own it.

I received my PC M&P 9...
I received my PC M&P 9 EZ M2.0 a couple of weeks ago. The first time at the range, the very first shot did not eject. After that one hiccup, the pistol ran fine in every regard, although I didn't shoot the gun all that well. The second day at the range, I shot the gun much better. Some of the "UTUBERS" complained about the grip safety of these pistols hurting the web of their hand; I didn't experience any problems with the grip safety. As a matter of fact, the grip safety never once caused a failure to fire. I have 2 of the 380 EZs and another 9mm EZ (all non PC), and I have had failure to fire with all of those pistols. I had to really concentrate on getting exactly the right hold on the grips of those other EZ pistols to get reliable firing. My new PC 9 EZ, GREAT GUN!
