The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm is a compact, striker-fired pistol built for everyday carry. This 3.1 in ported-slide configuration uses a ported barrel and slide to help reduce muzzle rise while maintaining a slim profile. Tritium night sights provide fast target acquisition in low light, and the No Thumb Safety configuration keeps the exterior controls streamlined.

this is my EDC firearm...
this is my EDC firearm and love shooting it. Conceals easily ! 550 rounds through is so far and not one malfunction! Highly recommend this gun if you are looking for a sweet shooting sub compact. Once again Buds provided awesome service as usual, Thank you Buds !

Good gun. Shoots well...
Good gun. Shoots well for both the wife unit and I. I really like how it handles with the 8 round magazine. First few mags had some some issues with stovepipes and misfeeds, but that went away quickly as the gun settled in. I'm 200 rounds into the break-in and I haven't had a malfunction since round 50-60. In low light shooting the porting does produce a lot of flash. Not a huge issue, but something to take note of. The porting is also dirty. Lots of burnt and unburnt powder around the ports after a range session. Not a huge deal, but you'll want to plan on cleaning after a session.
