A: You'd want to buy a non ported barrel, not slide. I have the .40 version of this gun and if shooting indoors (or in the dark) there is a definite muzzle flash. If using a non ported barrel there is none. The slide doesn't get any warmer with porting, the ports just allow gasses to escape out the top quicker to help with recoil.

A: William, this model has both a Ported Barrel and Slide. The Ported Barrel would damage a non ported slide but you could just purchase a non ported barrel and be just fine.
