A: This is Series 70. No passive firing pin pin block. Slide serrations are lllll on 70's and \\\\\ on most 80's series 1911 as well.

A: Marcel, they will work, and I've had good luck using Kimber 8 rd mags in my Springfield 1911. They work as well as any other good quality mag. Chip McCormick makes dependable flush fittting mags as well, as do Checkmate and MecGar, to name a couple. .

A: Steven, this 1911 has a "Series 70" Firing System. If you want a true GI-style 1911, the Mil-Spec is the 1911 for you. No firing pin safety and no external extractor.

A: James, No problem with +P ammo. The MilSpec 1911 was designed for hot ammo. It was built for hot NATO ammo. Shooting reloads or hand loaded ammo will void the warranty.
