The Springfield Armory 1911 Operator AOS is a duty-oriented semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm and built around a forged carbon steel frame and slide. Its 5-inch forged stainless steel match-grade barrel uses a fully supported ramp, while the integral Picatinny rail supports compatible accessories. The Black Cerakote finish protects the carbon steel components, and VZ G10 grips provide a secure, durable hold. The AOS optics-ready slide accepts popular red-dot footprints with the appropriate mounting plate, and each plate incorporates a rear sight for a consistent sight picture and co-witnessing. Tritium front and black serrated rear sights provide a practical aiming solution when an optic is not installed. The pistol includes two nine-round magazines with bumper pads and an ambidextrous manual safety.
