The Springfield Armory 1911 Range Officer Compact is a lightweight .45 ACP pistol designed around the proven 1911 operating system. Its forged aluminum alloy frame reduces carry weight, while the forged carbon-steel slide and stainless steel match-grade bull barrel provide a durable, accuracy-focused configuration. The four-inch barrel uses a fully supported ramp and a dual-spring recoil system with a full-length guide rod. Thin-line double-diamond rosewood grips provide a slim, secure hold, and the fiber optic front sight paired with a low-profile combat rear sight offers a clear aiming reference for defensive and range use. This compact 1911 includes a grip safety, ambidextrous manual safety, and two six-round magazines.

Buds within 4 days to...
Buds within 4 days to my FFL. So far have fired 200 rnds 230 gr FMJ and Gold Dot 230 JHP short barrel. NO malfunctions. 2nd follow up shots are great. Springfield did a great job on this one. I'm now working to by a full size Range Officer. Scale of 1-10 this is an easy 10. Don't fret by this one if you are a 1911 shooter. Thanks Buds for a great deal for a retired LEO.
