Its forged stainless steel slide and stainless steel barrel provide a durable two-tone appearance, while the black hard-coat anodized aluminum frame keeps the unloaded weight to 31 ounces. Cocobolo grips and Posi-Lock front-strap texture provide a secure, comfortable hold. The fiber optic front sight and low-profile combat rear sight support quick target acquisition for concealed carry, home defense, and range use.

To Whom It May Concern, if you like 1911 style pistols - if you like quality beautiful finishes and craftsman ship - Just the right size - not too heavy - not too light - manages recoil like a dream - fits just right in your hand - and shoots like there is no tomorrow - and if your ok with spending a little more than a grand for a pistol - " Go For It " ..... Recently I just turned " 70" - bought this pistol for myself as a birthday present for myself - I don't typically spend quite this much on a pistol but I have admired this pistol for two years ! Yep - 2 years - finally broke down and bought it - and I'm glad I did - I now have 6, 1911 style pistols and this one is a compliment to my collection. I really enjoy shooting them and the way they feel in your hand along with that smooth light trigger. This one is no exception - I can't say enough about this pistol - thank you Buds for the service and thanx to the folks at Springfield Armory. I took delivery on this pistol last week and just returned back from my 3rd trip to the range. i now have fired 500 rounds through with no issues of any type using 3 different types of ammo. Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love this gun. Buds did a great job with shipping and it was about a week even though it said it could take 15+ days. This 1911 is my first one and won't be my last. The handgun came is perfect condition without any scratches, dents, or dings. I have read some people say their handguns or rifles come scratched and what not but not this one. I LOVE this EMP 4 , Springfield did an awesome job with this one. I did layaway since Buds offers it for 90 days and had a great experience. Buds customer service was great when I chatted online about questions I had and I received emails once my item shipped and was delivered. I had a great experience with Buds Gun Shop.
