Okay...it shoots and...
Okay...it shoots and hits where I aim it. Smooth, nice trigger. It bothered me that when I load the mag, rack the slide and remove the mag to top it off, the top round in the mag falls out of the gun onto the floor about 9 times out of ten. If not, it is sticking halfway out of the mag. I own 4 1911's and a bunch of double stacks and never had an issue like this so I called SA customer service and they said, "yes, sometimes that happens and we don't consider it a problem. Well, I do. When I took it to the range I tried 3 different defensive 9mm and range ball. This gun will not chamber Carbon DPX all copper HP's. The jam when all but the rim is chambered and it takes a phenolic hammer to get the slide to extract it. I mean, it is STUCKtight. Well, my digital micrometer says the Carbon round is identical to Hornady CD and others in every respect but still it sticks.i disassembled the gun and tried to chamber a round manually...same thing. SA says they don't use Carbon and wouldn't comment. Corbon has yet to respond. The DPX loads and shoots in my Glock, Sig, S&W and Kahr pm9. Nice gun but I wish I had bought a P229 sao.\\r\ I am a certified pistol instructor and shoot a bunch and BTW, the instructions don't recommend p in this gun which is an ROElite compact. If I had known that, the 229 Legion would be on my hip.
