The polished blue is...
The polished blue is beautiful. Love the feel of the weapon in my hand and the trigger is amazing. Ok that being said buds ticked me off , been a buds member off and on for 20 years with probably 30 purchases and after all that some pencil pushing bean counter determined I needed to send them my drivers license . And I don't need an explanation why it's stupid no other gun sight does that . That's the purpose of using a FFL.

It's a very pretty...
It's a very pretty gun. Excellent service from buds as always. The only issue I have with it is that the safety is very weak. It can be easily disengaged by bumping it downward. This is an easy fix for me. I'll just replace the safety detent/spring with one that is a little more firm. Overall I'm happy to have added it to my collection.

This was the polished...
This was the polished blued version recently released by SA, aside from the bluing it is the same gun as the other versions of the SA Hi-Power. The bluing is a deep dark finish and looks very good. Overall, the fit and finish is also very good. Early initial year guns had some comments regarding weak extractors, however, the spring under the extractor on this gun is very strong and extraction has not failed. Accuracy is good, and the gun is very comfortable in the hand. The wood grips are also very well done and fit very well to the frame. The added white dot on the front sight is a good addition, as well as the removal of the mag disconnect. The trigger is also very good. Unfortunately, SA only includes one magazine, however it appears that those mags are made by Mec-Gar, a Mec-Gar magazine functioned as well as the SA included one. All and all very pleasant to shoot.
