A: YES You can get a 6rd with matching grip sleeve. You can also get the 7rd with the old style grip sleeve. However, you have to slide off the old style grip sleeve. All the gen1 and mod 2 mags are the same, just remove the plastic mag sleeve. I use several gen 1 6 and 7rd mags in my mod 2 45

A: Yes, +p ammunition will run fine in this. As with any firearm I'd recommend limited use since +p ammo can wear parts out quicker than standard pressure ammo but unless you're running thousands of rounds I doubt you'll ever notice a difference vs standard velocity ammo. Hope this helps.
