The Taurus GX4 T.O.R.O. is a compact 9mm semi-automatic pistol designed for discreet everyday carry and personal protection. Its 3.06-inch barrel and slim, palm-sized frame make it easy to conceal, while the textured polymer grip provides a secure hold. The slide features Taurus Optic Ready Option mounting cuts compatible with several micro red-dot sights, including the Shield RMSc, Holosun HS407K and HS507K, Sightmark Mini Shot A-Spec M3, Hex Wasp, SIG Sauer ROMEOZero, and Riton 3 Tactix MPRD2. The pistol uses a factory trigger safety, standard sights, and an 11+1 capacity. Two 11-round magazines are included.

The Taurus GX4 T.O.R.O. Micro Compact 9mm is truly a standout in the micro-compact firearm market. Taurus has taken everything that was great about the GX4 and elevated it to new heights with the T.O.R.O. (Taurus Optics Ready Option) version, making it an absolute game-changer for concealed carry enthusiasts and first-time buyers alike. First off, the GX4 T.O.R.O.'s ergonomics are excellent. This gun is small, lightweight, and feels incredibly comfortable in my (large) hands, which makes it easy to control even in rapid-fire situations. Its compact size and streamlined design make it ideal for concealed carry, but despite its small footprint, it still offers a solid grip and stability. Taurus has nailed the balance between size and performance here. Performance-wise, the GX4 T.O.R.O. impresses right out of the box. Its flat-face trigger has a crisp break and a short, tactile reset that feels exceptionally clean, contributing to accurate follow-up shots. The 9mm chambering offers enough stopping power while keeping recoil manageable, so even new shooters can handle it comfortably. Add to that the impressive 11-round magazine capacity (13 rounds with an extended mag), and you've got a solid defense package in a very compact frame. The standout feature of the GX4 T.O.R.O., however, is the optics-ready slide. Taurus provides mounting plates for a variety of popular micro red-dot optics, including Holosun, Trijicon, and Shield RMS, I opt'ed for the Sightmark Mini Shot A-Spec M3 Micro Reflex Sight (SM26049). Adding an optic on such a small firearm elevates its usability, especially for those who appreciate faster target acquisition or those who might struggle with traditional iron sights. The compatibility with red dots makes the GX4 T.O.R.O. incredibly versatile for a wide range of shooting styles.
