The Taurus GX4XL is a slim, carry-ready 9mm semi-automatic pistol built around the GX4 platform with a longer slide and 3.7-inch barrel. The extended configuration increases sight radius and can help improve practical accuracy while supporting higher muzzle velocity than the standard GX4. Its DLC-coated stainless steel barrel and gas nitride-coated carbon steel slide provide durable corrosion and wear resistance. A crisp flat-face target trigger offers a short, tactile reset, while the fixed white-dot front sight and drift-adjustable serrated rear sight support fast target acquisition. The polymer frame includes two interchangeable backstrap options for a more personalized grip and natural point of aim.

I shopped in store at...
I shopped in store at Buds, their staff was friendly and willing to help. I handled all comparable models and in the end it came down to the GX4 XL and Sig P365 XL. I honestly liked the Sig a little better but not enough to justify 2X the cost. I have sent a few boxes of ammo through it with no real issues to report. I had a few "stovepipes" early on but after the first couple of boxes the gun seems to have broken-in and the jams have disappeared.

The first taurus that...
The first taurus that actaully work for me. Had a couple in the past that work udder garbage. This one has change my perspective on taurus. The gun feels great and shots awesome. Feel very will constructed and is easy to use and also takedown for cleaning after the range. I also upgraded the mags easily off taurus website. With an add 13rd mag plus a add extension for the 11rd to make a 13rd. Would make a great reliable conceal carry. Price point is on mark too. Also enjoy the longer slide. For a man with big hands this compact fits the bill for comfort.
