I was definitely not a...
I was definitely not a high speed green beanie, back in the day, but I did shoot a lot of IPSC, before Comp Guns, and .38 Supers, came along with a 1911 .45, set up just like this for three times the price, when the Dollar, was worth at least twice what it is now. This is an excellent 1911, and a real bargain.

The pistol has a lot...
The pistol has a lot of premium features. I did have trouble with one grip screw that was hard to remove and then discovered it was stripped so will order repair parts and switching back to regular slotted grip screws hopefully of better quality. Taking the pistol apart it is evident that it is nicely milled. Shooting the pistol I had no problem with 230 grain ball with my Wilson mags but it choked on my 200 hollow points, all reloads. The supplied 2 magazines of unknown manufacturer produced jams even with 230 ball. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase as accuracy was good. I will change out the recoil and main springs so I know exactly whats in there. I will run factory rounds eventually for a better idea of its reliability. I did polish the trigger bow, end of disconnector and sear spring and trigger pull I would estimate at 4-4.5 pounds.
