A: Definitely no on switching the barrel and most likely no with switching the slide assembly from your Remington. 1911s are nothing like Glock or other modern plastic guns where you can swap uppers around.

A: Zachary, no, you would need a complete 45 Slide Barrel combo for this to work. Everything would need to be replaced, slide, barrel, recoil spring magazine etc.
