The ZEV Technologies OZ9 V2 Hyper-Comp X is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol that pairs a compact steel receiver with a full-size X grip for improved handling and recoil control. Its 4.5-inch barrel incorporates four tapered vertical ports that direct propellant gases upward to reduce muzzle rise without adding the length or weight of a conventional compensator. A top channel cut in the slide exposes the front sight, which is pinned directly to the barrel and remains stationary during recoil for easier tracking. The serialized steel receiver houses the trigger and can be transferred between compatible ZEV grip modules by removing a single pin. The OZ9 V2 also combines Gen5-inspired slide and barrel components with a Gen3 recoil system and accepts Glock-pattern magazines. The optics-ready slide supports further sight customization.
