The Cimarron 1872 Open Top Army is a historically styled single-action revolver chambered in .44 Special. Its case-hardened finish and wood grips preserve the distinctive appearance of nineteenth-century cartridge-conversion revolvers, while modern manufacturing provides consistent fit and function. The six-shot cylinder and 7.5-inch barrel make it well suited to Cowboy Action shooting, historical recreation, collecting, and Old West-inspired range use. Fixed blade-and-notch sights provide a traditional sight picture.

Very nice revolver! A...
Very nice revolver! A good heft that dampens any recoil, and a far lighter trigger than Uberti's standard Model-P SAA's. The rear sights are extremely narrow, but they were spot on. The loading gate is quite heavy, however! It really takes two hands to manipulate it open or closed. The ejector rod is slightly different than the SAA style most pf us are used to. I chose the 44spl to replicate the original 44rimfire chambering as best I could. Now I need to find a holster!
