The best gun is the...
The best gun is the one you have with you at the time. It's not easy to aim, slow to reload, single action, and it might be dangerous to handle with an inexperienced shooter. But...... it's well made and does exactly what it was designed to do, which is to provide protection in the smallest and easiest to carry package. I carry it in my backpack when hiking or when wearing shorts. I would not buy it for home protection, but for the specific purposes it was designed its perfect.
