I absolutely love this...
I absolutely love this gun. It's a classic cowboy gun that has enough "features" to be an absolute joy to shoot and easy to clean. Awesome gun.

I have been looking...
I have been looking all over for one of these for two years. I would check Buds multiple times a day to see if they got one. Finally I saw one and grabbed it. Awesome! So eventually it arrived at the FFL and I went to pick it up. With all the problems of this current time period (2020-2023) I was worried about the fit and finish and quality control. But it seemed ok... and of course it's as beautiful as I hoped. I was checking it out, and took a look down the sights. Something was not right... The rear sight was missing! Really??! Ok, so this is not a big deal and I will just get Ruger to send the rear sight and install it myself. It took 2 years to find this gun and I did not want to risk returning to Buds... Still, this is not confidence inspiring. So the next day I was cleaning it and noticed a few other things. One, it looks like it has been fired more than a little. A lot of baked on black soot around the cylinder gap area and on the part behind the cylinder near the firing pin on the frame. Maybe Ruger test fires these? And maybe that much soot came from just a couple of rounds of test-firing? I know some manufacturers do, so I'm hoping this was actually a new gun. Not sure. The bigger problem I found is that I noticed the front sight block (that the front sight post attaches to) is not aligned to be vertical. This is determined by how much they screw the barrel into the frame when installing it. The reason I did not notice at first is that they bent the sight post so that IT is vertical. But since the base is skewed off to the side, the sight post is not in the center of the barrel. I doubt this will be helpful with aiming..... So now I am looking at returning it to Ruger so they can install the barrel correctly, fix the front sight post, and install the missing rear sight. All in all a pretty lousy experience for a new almost $900 gun! But it IS beautiful, and if you got one that was made properly I'm sure you'd be very happy. But I will have to give a low rating for this particular example, and at this point I'm honestly not confident about buying another one online that I can't check out carefully in person.
