The aluminum-alloy frame keeps the revolver exceptionally light, while the stainless steel cylinder provides durable service. A HI-VIZ fiber optic front sight offers a bright aiming reference in varied lighting, and the polymer grips help maintain a comfortable, secure hold. As a traditional double-action revolver, the Model 317 uses a smooth, straightforward operating system and does not include a manual, trigger, or grip safety.

This kit gun did have to go back to S&W to be properly timed but since I got it back it has been great. Ultralite. Barely know you have a gun on you. I take this thing camping and fishing and it has come in handy a few times.
