Let me qualify my opinion on this by saying I'm an Iraqi War vet and a retired policeman. I've been shooting since I was 8. This gun is an acquired taste. It's absolutely not for everyone. If I we're going salmon fishing in Kodiak, Alaska I'd take this with me. This beast is a wonderful range toy. It's heavy for its size and it kicks like an angry kangaroo, but I really enjoy shooting it. Sure it's expensive. It attacks your wallet trying to feed it ammo like the recoil attacks your wrist. But the finish, mechanisms, and master craftsmanship that smith used makes it all worth it. Take this to the range with your J-Frame .357 mag, your mossberg shockwave, and a couple old army buddies and have a great time.

This thing is a cannon! Little disappointed that the cylinder has bluing on it after only 40 rounds. May be some gapping issues. Overall, lots of fun to shoot!
