The Taurus Raging Hunter is a large-frame .460 S&W revolver designed for short- and mid-range big-game hunting. Its 8.37-inch sleeved barrel combines factory-tuned porting with a gas-expansion chamber to help reduce muzzle rise and improve control during powerful shots. The revolver is balanced for its size and features cushioned rubber grips that help manage recoil. An integrated top rail supports the addition of a compatible optic, while fiber optic sights provide a bright aiming reference in varied field conditions. The Raging Hunter received the 2019 American Hunter Handgun of the Year Golden Bullseye Award.

Heavy but manages recoil very well. This is easier to handle than my ported 6.5" 629 S&W .44mag. Shoots nice groups, I was so impressed I bought another in .357
