The Adams Arms Base Rifle is a 5.56 NATO semi-automatic rifle built around a self-cleaning, short-stroke gas piston system with adjustable gas settings. Its forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers feature a flat-top upper receiver with a 1913 Picatinny rail, M4 feed ramps, and laser-engraved T-markings. The 14.5-inch 4150 chrome-moly steel barrel has a 1:7 twist, black Nitride LifeCoat Melonite finish, 1/2x28 threading, and a Manimal extended flash hider. A mid-length M4 modified handguard, six-position receiver extension, retractable A2 carbine stock, and A2 pistol grip complete the practical carbine configuration. The rifle includes one GI aluminum 30-round magazine and is supplied without factory sights.
