I had originally...
I had originally ordered an m1a scout but that was on back order due to Springfield's likely overwhelmed order backlog. The Democratic People's Republic of Maryland lead by our illustrious dictator and chosen living god had also just added the m1a to the list of evil naughty weapons and there was a real risk of me now becoming a felon if I take it out of state for hog or big game hunting and then transfer it back. So then I saw the AR10 in inventory below MSRP and far below the almost 3K i had seen for the same model at gun shows and local dealers. I called up buds, changed the order and in a week have the AR in my hands. Will be heading to the range next week. The brilliant firearm experts in Annapolis have decided that the AR10 is not an evil black murder machine so it is not regulated by the new laws and falls into the same category as an HBAR so it was a win for me. Though I am a little disappointed as I really loved the m1a scout rifle. Will have to pick it up when I leave this state.

Great 308! Recoil is...
Great 308! Recoil is very light and the gun doesn't weigh a ton. I have an M1A as well that is fantastic but the Armalite is much lighter and the recoil is softened with the buffer spring. This gun is going to be a great North American hunting gun with a compact size, good cartrige, and light enough to pack a few miles. Won't be a bad zombie gun either. Paired with a trijicon accupoint 3X9 and the gun is MOA with 168g ammo. Will be my goto hunting gun for anything under 300m, could probably stretch it out to 600m with a 20" Barrel and x20 scope. This gun was recommended to me by a friend and now I'm recommending it.
