It works. I had full...
It works. I had full Sierra Papa mods (steel trigger, hammer, guide rod) done to this firearm before ever firing it.I cannot speak as to how it would function with the original plastic Beretta parts. For the price, it should already have more steel internals. I get it....lightweight is good. It is also an excuse for firearm manufacturers to throw as much cheaply formed plastic into a firearm as possible. A plastic hammer??? From what I hear it works, but I can say this...the plastic parts that came out of the gun were crude and cheap in appearance, a far cry from the finely machined Sierra Papa mods. With a name like Beretta, you expect superb quality right out of the box. My expectations for this extends to the quality of the internal parts, not only durability but also the quality of machining. For what its worth, I knew most of this before even purchasing the CX4, and I intended from the get-go to get the Sierra Papa mods. I just never expected the factory internals to be so cheap in appearance, therefore that will cost this review 1 star for Beretta, Buds gets 5 and Sierra Papa gets 5.

This is cool little...
This is cool little carbine. Reasonably accurate to 100 yards it seems to prefer 115 grain ammo. Only issue is the creepy scratchy heavy trigger. I invested and installed an aftermarket trigger but still it's not a "good" trigger. Installed a red dot optic and this rifle is great little carbine. Run to shoot.
