Bought this about a year ago to replace a cheaper Stalker version, mounted a Leupold VX-2 2-7x on a 1-piece DNZ mount. After sighting in and putting 120 rnds of 4 different ammo types in several trips to the range, here is my review. Pros: Zero FTF or FTE with anything. Consistent 1.5" groups or better at 150 yds. Likes regular Federal blue box 130 gr SP. Practically no recoil, very controllable, nice wood and bluing. Cons: Trigger is awful. Think SKS... creep, grit, creep, grit, bang! Called Browning and a very polite CS rep said this is standard. Got a little better after a few trips to the range but I expected a lot better from the "best there is" on a $1000 gun, particularly when Ruger, Mossberg, and Savage can put near match-grade triggers on $300 rifles. The Safari engraving on the left side of the receiver is noticeably lighter than on the right, almost hard to make out. Didn't really notice this until I took it home for the full cleaning and wiped off the factory oil. 3 stars for a rifle that shoots well despite shortcomings that should not exist for the pricetag. Wonder what it would do with a clean trigger.
