The Browning X-Bolt 2 Pro is a lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in 7mm PRC and designed for demanding mountain and backcountry use. Its carbon fiber stock combines strength and rigidity with reduced weight, while the adjustable comb and included spacers help establish proper eye alignment and length of pull. The stock also incorporates noise-dampening foam, flush-fit QD sling swivel cups, and a fore-end Picatinny rail for bipod installation. A fluted sporter-contour barrel measures 24 inches, is button rifled, and features 5/8x24 muzzle threading. The Recoil Hawg muzzle brake helps reduce felt recoil, and a thread protector is included. The lightweight receiver, fluted bolt, and aluminum bolt handle further reduce overall mass. Browning's DLX Trigger offers a crisp pull with no creep, take-up, or overtravel and is factory set at 3.5 pounds. The rifle features a top-tang manual safety and Browning's Bolt Unlock Button, which allows the action to be opened while the safety remains engaged. Its receiver and barrel have a non-reflective matte blued finish, complemented by Smoked Bronze Cerakote on the bolt, bolt handle, bottom metal, and muzzle brake. The X-Lock mounting system uses four screws per base for secure scope attachment.
