The Colt Competition Series Expert CRE-18T is a match-oriented AR-15 rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and compatible with .223 Remington ammunition. Its 18-inch polished 416 stainless steel custom heavy HBAR barrel features air-gaged match-grade construction, six-groove button rifling, and a 1:8 right-hand twist for consistent accuracy across a broad range of bullet weights. The direct-impingement semi-automatic system includes a matched bolt and bolt carrier, H-buffer, low-profile gas block, and Colt Competition charging handle with an extended tactical latch. A 15-inch vented modular free-float handguard, top-mounted Picatinny rail section, and accessory rails support flexible accessory and optic installation. The rifle is completed with a Colt Competition Match Target trigger, Hogue rubber finger-groove pistol grip, Magpul MOE four-position adjustable stock, and Colt twin-port muzzle brake.
