The Daniel Defense DD5 V2 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered for .308 Win and 7.62x51 NATO. It combines an 18-inch cold-hammer-forged chrome moly vanadium steel barrel with a 7075-T6 aluminum receiver and a 6-position adjustable synthetic stock. A Geissele SSA two-stage trigger supports precise, consistent fire control, while the ambidextrous controls and configurable charging handle improve handling for a wide range of shooters. The optic-ready receiver accepts a customer-selected aiming system, and the threaded muzzle supports compatible muzzle devices.

This tool is a...
This tool is a masterpiece crafted by Daniel Defense. Their proprietary furniture is quality and functions great. The slim rail is really something else compared to a full pic rail and other keymod and M-LOK rails. Ambi bolt release, safety and charging handle are great for us left handed folks. Compared to other DD's I've shot chambered in 5.56, the recoil is greater considering it's a 7.62x51, yet more manageable thanks to their buffer tube and muzzle device. The Geissle 2 stage trigger is clean and crisp. It's a beautiful modern rifle and well worth the cost.
