The FN FS2000 is a compact bullpup rifle chambered for 5.56 NATO and compatible with .223 Remington ammunition. Its gas-operated action uses a rotating bolt for reliable cycling, while the forward-ejection system directs fired cases away from the operator. A 17.4-inch barrel provides a useful balance of handling and ballistic performance in the rifle-length configuration. Adjustable iron sights and the top-mounted M1913 Picatinny rail support both traditional aiming and the addition of an aftermarket optic.
