The Franklin Armory F17-L is a gas-operated semi-automatic rifle chambered in .17 WSM. Its custom piston system and rotating locking bolt are designed to manage the cartridge's high operating pressure while providing reliable semi-automatic cycling. The rifle features a 20-inch 4140 chrome-moly bull barrel with salt-bath nitride treatment, a 1:9-inch twist, and an 11-degree recessed target crown. A free-float, fluted, vented handguard provides M-Lok compatibility along with integral bipod and tripod adapters. The forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers are finished in hardcoat Type III anodized black and incorporate a full-length Picatinny rail for mounting an optic.
