Product Overview
The Franklin Armory F17-L is an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle chambered in .17 WSM. Its custom piston-operated system uses a rotating locking bolt designed for the higher pressure of .17 WSM ammunition, providing a locked-breech operating system rather than the simple blowback action commonly used in rimfire rifles. The rifle features a 16-inch nitride-treated 4140 chrome-moly barrel with a 1:9 twist and 1/2x28 muzzle threads. A free-float M-Lok-compatible handguard, forged 7075-T6 receivers, six-position M4 stock, and standard AR-15 accessory compatibility provide a familiar and adaptable platform.

Great rifle when it...
Great rifle when it works. Jammed every other shot until we realized the spring in the stock was bone dry and most likely installed crooked. The rifle stove pipes the ejectect brass on occasion but much better since we fixed the spring. Could be magazine related , seems to be splitting ever so slightly, but at $100 per magazine I am not so anxious to buy another one.\\r\ I understand there is issues, and that I have patience for, I have no patience when I am being ignored by Franklin Armory.I have written to them several times and have not received one shred of correspondence back from them. There customer service is non existent . I have $ 2,000 into the rifle and scope for a a gun that does not shoot consistently and a manufacturer that treats me like I am non existent.
