A: David, I don't know if you mean accuracy wise or rate of fire wise. I have a Savage 93 FVSS that I bought at Walmart several years ago and it is a "Tack Driver". I'm talking 1/2 MOA with CCI ammunition. The best does not always have to be the "more expensive" rifle. This was $179 out the door then.

A: 17 HMR is a rimfire cartridge not centerfire. No primer in the center for the bullet to touch and unintentionally detonate.

A: Jonathan, 17 HMR, is a rimfire rifle cartridge not centerfire so no problem with bullet point hitting primer.

A: Remember, this is a rimfire cartridge. The firing pin mechanics hits the rim of the cartridge, unlike centerfire cartridges. You won't have any issues. You might want to be a bit more careful if you get a centerfire version, but even then you should be safe. It was my pleasure to assist you.
