The Hi-Point 4595TS is a .45 ACP semi-automatic carbine built around a simple, reliable blowback operating system. Its all-weather molded synthetic skeletonized stock incorporates an internal recoil buffer, while Weaver-style rails and a scope base support the included 4x32mm scope. Fully adjustable post front and peep rear sights provide a practical backup sighting system. The carbine also features a quick on/off thumb safety, grip-mounted magazine release, last-round hold-open functionality, sling swivels, and a 17.5-inch barrel. It arrives with one 9-round magazine and accepts compatible Hi-Point JHP45 magazines.

Gun arrived with a...
Gun arrived with a ghost ring sight installed and the scope in a bubble wrap. The ghost ring sight was a pain to remove, and left 4 raised holes in the plastic picatinny on the rifle. The picatinny clamps for the supplied scope would not clear the rail and required extensive sanding to clear. Also, as shown, the eye relief for that scope is too great, you have to mount it as far back as possible and it is still almost too far from your eye to get a full picture. There are many nice accessories available online for this gun, and with just a few simple mods the cost of this very inexpensive gun can rise rather quickly. I removed the existing front sight and barrel rail, installed a large diameter barrel shroud, Muzzle brake, short picatinny, light and foregrip and replaced the charging handle with a slightly larger more attractive piece. I also purchased 2-20 rd mags and 3-14 rd mags. I now have $600 in this $300 gun plus lots of labor, modding and fitting, but the end result is a beautiful, well shooting CQB that gets loads of compliments and is still a great deal. I give it 3 stars for as-is, 5 stars for potential, so an average of 4.
