The Hi-Point 4595TS is a .45 ACP semi-automatic carbine built around a reliable blowback operating system and an all-weather molded synthetic skeletonized stock. Its 17.5-inch barrel and 32-inch overall length provide a compact shoulder-fired platform, while the internal recoil buffer helps improve handling during extended use. The carbine includes a manual thumb safety, grip-mounted magazine release, last-round hold-open feature, adjustable post front and peep rear sights, Weaver-style accessory rails, a scope base, sling swivels, and a laser sight. It uses a detachable 9-round magazine that is interchangeable with the Hi-Point JHP45 pistol magazine and is rated for .45 ACP +P ammunition.

I got this for...
I got this for Christmas, but haven't fired it yet. It looks to be everything I expected. I found out when I read the manual that HiPoint recommends firing only jacketed rounds. I got this gun with the idea of using up some old ammo that is not jacketed. I'm not sure what I will do about using that old ammo. Ordering from Bud's was a pleasure (again). They are so efficient.

I was browsing around...
I was browsing around on Bud's the other day and I came across this 45 carbine. I have a lot of guns, but I've never owned a 45 carbine. In fact, I'd never even shot one until I purchased this one from Bud's. I realize that a lot of people have mixed feelings about Hi-Point brand firearms, but I've owned about seven of them and I've never had any major issues with them. I know a bit about gunsmithing, and I worked in the firearm industry a while back, so it's fairly easy to make small improvements on the firearm here and there to improve looks and function. As you can see in the photos I added a foregrip, a 3x9 scope, a laser sight, and a 40 round drum mag. This gun is one of my favorites even though it was very inexpensive. I am absolutely thrilled with this gun, and I plan on buying the Hi-Point 9mm carbine next! This 45 carbine is a fantastic mid-range firearm, and in my experience it has been very dependable. After running roughly 200 rounds of .45 ACP through it without a hitch, I have nothing negative to say about this gun.

I bouught this carbine...
I bouught this carbine for a medium range home defense weapon. I have not fired a carbine since the M-16 "Police Action" in Vietnam. I was somewhat skeptical due to low price and some internet chatter but for the price - I cleaned and oiled it and fired over 200 rounds at the range. It took a while to get the iron sights right and a little more time to get the laser in synch, WOW. I bought 2 extra clips and the holder which attaches to the stock. It was easy to go through 3 clips. It went bang every time. Once we got it sighted in i fiired a 10 round clip from the waste at 25 yards - all I did was put the red dot in the black and pull the trigger. I shot a group of 9 in a three inch circle and one flyer about 3/4 in higher at 2 oclock. The next day we hit an outdoor range and fired another 200 rds and again - it went bang every time I fired FMJ, hollowpoints and +p - I can't find one thing to be unhappy about
