A: Howard, For years shooters on a budget have been singing the praises of Hi-Point Firearms, relying on their firearms to defend their families and homes from miscreants of the 2 and 4 legged variety. The Hi-Point Carbine is built to run, and has a solid reputation for being built tank tough for excellent longevity and durability. The Hi-Point Carbine has come on strong with survivalists and preppers, filling their arsenal with firearms that simply do not quite. Don't fall victim to the fallacy that quality has to cost you and arm and a legpick up a Hi-Point Carbine and discover for yourself that quality is not mutually inclusive to high price. A: The AccuTrigger will help your accuracy only. It will provide a clean crisp break. It's not really needed with practice on the standard trigger but, it will allow you to get shots "on target" in a high stress scenario.

A: The standard trigger is fine but the accutrigger definitely feels like a "step up" and is worth the purchase. With practice most triggers are fine for regular target shooting but a better trigger set up certainly feels and shoots nicer.

A: On a long rang precision rifle trying to get that super tight group yes on a 9mm carbine with a red dot probably not

A: Howard, the springs are still hit or miss in my opinion. The newer models have been coming with better functioning magazines from Hi-Point (less complaints) so you should not stress too much. You may or may not need the fix but, it's there if you do.

A: Hi William, Unfortunately no as it must come direct from manufacture to be compliant and Bud's won't alter firearms to do so.

A: Please click the green box stating it as the best answer. We are rated on our answers and are just volunteers, not Buds employees. You can choose more then one Thank you!

A: sorry no as it must be compliant direct from manufacture and Bud's won't alter firearms to do so

A: Not from Buds per their policy of not opening/altering firearm packages William. Some Vendor's will accommodate this but not Buds.

A: sorry no as it must be compliant direct from manufacture and Bud's won't alter firearms to do so

A: Russell - here are two ... a 20 round and a 15 round, aftermarket, made for this rifle: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/14421/mag+hi-pt+redball+9mm+20rd+blk https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/77645/promag+hip-a3+hi-point+995ts+magazine+15rd+9mm+blued+steel

A: Russell, RedBall makes a 20rd Magazine : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/14421/mag+hi-pt+redball+9mm+20rd+blk and Promag makes a 15rd Magazine : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/77645/promag+hip-a3+hi-point+995ts+magazine+15rd+9mm+blued+steel

A: yes there are some aftermarket mags 20 rounds https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/14421/mag+hi-pt+redball+9mm+20rd+blk and 25 https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/77645/promag+hip-a3+hi-point+995ts+magazine+15rd+9mm+blued+steel I can not recommend the promag as I have not had good luck with their products

A: Rick, no due to the pistol grip. The CA compliant versions have the blade preventing you from putting your thumb around the grip like this one: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/415005225/hi-point+carbine+9mm+luger Here's the list of CA restrictions: https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/feeds/state_reg/california_restrictions.pdf

A: sorry its not legal in CA because of the pistol grip "Semi-automatic centerfire rifles that do not have a fixed magazine, but have any one of the following features: o Pistol grip – a grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the firearm. o Thumbhole stock o Folding or telescoping stock o Grenade or flare launcher o Flash suppressor or flash hider o Foregrip – a grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the barrel and in front of the action "

A: Rick, CA restricts the "Pistol Grip" so you must have the silly looking fish tail so you can't form a closed "Fist" around the Grip : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/415005225/hi-point+carbine+9mm+luger
