Description
Product Overview
The Howa 1500 Scout is a practical bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Win, combining a compact 18.5-inch threaded barrel with a durable Hogue pillar-bedded synthetic stock in OD Green. Its forged one-piece bolt uses two locking lugs, while the two-stage HACT trigger provides a predictable pull for field and range use. A Williams one-piece rail supports optic mounting, and the rifle also includes a Williams peep rear sight with a hooded fiber-optic front blade. The barrel action is fitted with an A2 flash hider and the rifle feeds from a 10-round Ammo Boost detachable magazine. A three-position manual safety and recoil pad complete the field-oriented configuration.

Just picked up my Howa...
Just picked up my Howa Scout from the FFL. I haven't fired it yet and will likely update afterwards, but first impressions are that it's a well manufactured rifle. The action is smooth and lock up solid. The factory two staged trigger has a little take up before a clean, light break. There isn't much written online about these rifles but that shouldn't stop anyone from buying one. The handling and feel, in my opinion, is far superior than comparable Savage and Mossberg offerings. Thanks Bud's for the very quick shipping & great rifle
