The LMT Defense LM308MWS Defender is a semi-automatic .308 Win rifle built around LMT’s modular weapon system platform. It features a 16-inch cryogenically treated stainless steel barrel with a 1:11.25 twist rate, a low-profile gas block, direct gas impingement operation, and an A2 birdcage compensator on a 5/8x24 threaded muzzle. The LM308MWS lower receiver includes a collapsible SOPMOD buttstock, two-stage trigger, ambidextrous selector, and ambidextrous magazine release. A tactical front sight and adjustable rear sight are included, along with one 20-round magazine. The rifle measures 35 inches with the stock collapsed and 38 inches when extended, with an empty weight of 9.98 pounds.
