The LMT Defense LM8MWS is a .308 Win and 7.62x51 NATO semi-automatic rifle built around LMT’s Monolithic Rail Platform. Its one-piece aluminum upper receiver incorporates an integral rail system and supports the platform’s quick-change barrel design. The 16-inch chrome-lined H-BAR barrel uses a 1:10 twist and is fitted with an A2 birdcage flash hider. A direct-impingement operating system, two-stage trigger, SOPMOD six-position collapsible stock, adjustable detachable sights, and optic-ready STANAG 4694 compatible mounting surface provide a practical setup for duty, field, and precision-oriented use.

One of the finest .308...
One of the finest .308 ar-10s on the market today. LMT's quality is second to none and craftsmanship is superb. I bought this gun to do long range shooting and so far it hasn't disappointed. The first shots I made were at distances of 100, 200, 300 and 400. This weekend I will start at 500 yards and hope to get out to 800 yards using steel targets splatter overlays. I own a cattle ranch with potential distances of over 2000 yards. Thank you Buds for the great price and service.
