The LMT Defense MARS-L Shovelnose Piston SBR is a compact 5.56 NATO rifle built around LMT's monolithic Shovelnose upper receiver and fully ambidextrous MARS-L lower. Its 12-inch chrome-lined barrel and short-stroke piston operating system provide a durable, compact platform with an adjustable gas system and reduced fouling compared with traditional direct-impingement designs. A free-float M-LOK handguard and continuous Picatinny top rail support flexible accessory and optic configurations, while the AXLE two-stage trigger, ambidextrous controls, and SOPMOD adjustable stock enhance practical handling for right- or left-handed users.
